I came across this course after a lot of research on photography courses. Taking the taster session helped me understand straight from the start and after completing the full course I've gone from knowing nothing and my Camara and taking pictures to having a much clearer idea and understanding of what things are and how to use them

Sarah has created a brilliant, technical but not TOO technical, easy to understand photography course for beginners that I thoroughly recommend. If you have some camera knowledge but want to know more her friendly manner and professional approach fills in all the blanks. Can't wait to put it all into practice! Kate D

Thank you Sarah! After years of meaning to learn to use my bridge camera, this course has given everything I need to be confident that I know what I’ll doing! It explains a range of technical subjects in a way that is really easy to understand and I’m now fully embracing manual mode :)

I loved this course. It's jargon free, easy to understand and most importantly fun! It's been nice using my camera and doing the exercises and seeing how the different settings change the feel and look of the image. Before doing this course I NEVER took my camera out of Auto. I didn't understand what to do with it. Now since completing the course, I feel like I have a better connection with my camera and actually prefer manual mode. I have much more control and am excited to get out and use my camera more (as lockdown eases up and allows me to). I love how the course is presented with text and video's. I have also made personal notes that I now carry with me as well as the downloadable posters. Thank you very much for this course and I will be letting everybody know about it as I have enjoyed a lot :D

I loved this course, learnt so much in such a short time and realised that what I thought was a most complicated enormous task could be broken down. The tips are also priceless.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course, it reminded me of when I first started taking pictures with my Practica, then I moved onto Olympus, before entering the Digital age with Minolta, finally ending up with a couple of Sony DSLRs. The recent acquisition of an A7ii has rekindled my interest and finding your course was a bonus. It helped me to remember that I did know this stuff (exposure triangle etc) and to get away from the P option it was permanently glued to. As you rightly point out, its a confidence thing and when, due to other time constraints work, family etc and you’re unable to find the time for photography the camera is only taken out rarely and is invariably left in P mode. Many thanks for taking the time to produce this excellent course and I would recommend it to all novices and oldies like me who’ve forgotten why we used to love photography so much.

Sarah has explained the camera basics to me in clear language with very practical examples - I just wasn't getting all the settings before the course and Sarah made it so much easier to get to grips with my DSLR camera. Sarah showed me Aperture Priority mode and how to use compose a shot with auto focus point selection which were just revelations! I'm practicing with manual mode and am so excited to see how my photography further improves! Thank you Sarah!
